When I joined AliveCor in 2018 as Director of Media & Analytics, the company offered a single product, KardiaMobile, sold through Shopify and Amazon. A third-party agency handled paid media, running campaigns across search, display, pre-roll, and social — but performance was underwhelming.

What I Did

I brought all media buying in-house and uncovered a key issue: much of the existing traffic was low-quality and not converting. Here's what changed:

  • Expanded and refined paid search campaigns

  • Overhauled social media strategy

  • Launched Amazon Ads, cable news, and live sports campaigns

  • Implemented A/B testing across landing pages

  • Measured baseline sales to accurately attribute revenue from Connected TV

The Results

Over three years:

  • Sales tripled with an average 3x ROAS, on a $24M annual ad budget

  • Introduced a patient/physician subscription program with a 30% attach rate

  • Scaled the model internationally to the UK, Italy, India, Canada, Korea, and more

By eliminating ineffective spend and carefully scaling high-performing channels, AliveCor became a trusted brand in personal ECG monitoring — not just in the U.S., but around the world.
